Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) online course on Palliative Care
This is a free online course for humanitarian health workers. Anyone can register. Make a free account here and then search for palliative care in the Tembo course library
Project Echo – Introduction to Palliative Care for Humanitarian Health Workers
This online course consists of 7 or 11 weekly sessions (75 mins each). We currently are using the Project ECHO model to support health workers access basic concepts of palliative care as well as reduce professional isolation working in humanitarian settings. Project ECHO supports the creation of a Community of Practice for individuals and we feel at PallCHASE this aligns with our ambition and purpose.
The course is designed to provide an introduction and overview of key topics in palliative care for health workers in humanitarian settings, including• Effective communication (breaking bad news)
• Pain and symptom management
• End of life care
• Trauma informed care
• Pediatric palliative care in humanitarian and fragile settings
• And more
Course focused on Rohingya Refugee Crisis in Bangladesh
